Embassy of India Hosts Exclusive Yoga Session for Diplomatic Community
Embassy of India in Muscat organized an exclusive yoga session for the diplomatic community in the Embassy premises, drawing participation from over 100 people. Resident Ambassadors, Defense Attaches, other Diplomats, and yoga enthusiasts attended the session. The event offered a unique experience for Oman’s diplomatic community to connect with India’s rich traditions.
2. H.E. Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, addressed the gathering. Emphasizing yoga’s significance, he said: “Yoga is not just a physical practice; it is a journey of self-discovery and resilience, bringing balance to both body and mind. In today’s fast-paced world, yoga serves as a timeless practice that helps manage stress and maintain holistic health.”
3. The event featured a specially curated session focussing on relaxation and mindfulness, incorporating various techniques suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners. Participants expressed their appreciation for the session, noting how it provided a refreshing break and an opportunity to experience the benefits of yoga firsthand.
4. Yoga's popularity has steadily grown in Oman, with the Embassy actively promoting it through a series of initiatives. Recent initiatives such as the Muscat Yoga Mahotsav in 2022, Oman Yoga Yatra in 2023, and the Marhaban Yoga series in 2024 have introduced several Omani nationals to the holistic benefits of yoga.
