Embassy of India in Muscat Celebrates the 9th Ayurveda Day

Embassy of India in Muscat celebrated the 9th Ayurveda Day with a special event focused on promoting Ayurveda’s principles and rich heritage, highlighting its benefits for health and wellness. Members of the Indian community, Omani nationals, and Ayurveda practitioners in Oman gathered to honor the ancient Indian system of medicine.

2. Addressing the gathering, H.E. Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, said, “Ayurveda embodies India’s commitment to holistic well-being, offering natural and sustainable approaches that resonate with people worldwide.Its growing popularity here in Oman highlights the increasing recognition of Ayurveda's benefits in promoting long-term health.”

3. A special presentation was delivered by Dr. Pratap Chauhan, an expert in the field of Ayurveda, who emphasized Ayurveda’s scientific approach to health through natural remedies, diet, and lifestyle choices. Dr. Chauhan's address underscored how Ayurveda provides tools for balanced living and preventive care, particularly relevant in an era affected by lifestyle-related health challenges.

4. Several Ayurvedic centers in Oman, including Al Manar, Coimbatore Ayurvedic Centre, Kottakkal Ayurvedic Centre, Saham Ayurveda Muscat, Sri Sri Tattva Panchakarma, and Muscat Pharmacy, set up stalls displaying a wide range of wellness services. Participants had the chance to interact with practitioners and learn about available therapies.

5. Students from Indian School Ghubra staged a skit and cultural performances that explored Ayurvedic themes, illustrating Ayurveda’s values in an engaging format.

6. Oman is home to over 35 Ayurveda centers, demonstrating the growing trust in this natural healthcare system among Omani nationals. Beyond its traditional roots, Ayurveda is gaining prominence in specialized fields such as sports medicine, showcasing its broader appeal and integration into modern healthcare practices in the country.
