Embassy of India, Muscat, is organizing a Vibrant Gujarat Roadshow at the Embassy premises to promote Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Summit on Tuesday, 02October, 2018. A high-level business delegation from the state of Gujarat led by Smt. Mamta Verma, Industries Commissioner, Govt of Gujarat, representing 20 reputed companies from a variety of sectors like Infrastructure, Textiles, IT, renewable energy will be visiting Oman on 02-03 October, 2018. 

Vibrant Gujarat Summit, conceptualized in 2003 to re-establish Gujarat as a preferred investment destination within India. Today, the Summit has evolved into a platform for brainstorming on agendas of global socio-economic development, in addition to being a facilitator for knowledge sharing and forging effective partnerships. The 8th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held in January 2017, witnessed participation from 25,000+ delegates from 100+ countries including Oman, including 4 Heads of States, Nobel Laureates, Captains of global industry and Thought Leaders. 

          The above event is part of Embassy’s endeavours to promote bilateral trade and Investments between the two historical trading partners, with relations going back 5000 years. Indian state of Gujarat is strategically located on the west coast of India and is closest to Oman in terms of distance, The investor-friendly policies of the Gujarat state government, state of the art infrastructure, ready availability of a trained work force, large consumer base, simple and transparent procedure for investments, and last but not least, a business-friendly environment are factors which make Gujarat an ideal destination for investments. A detailed presentation on investment opportunities in Gujarat will be shown during the Roadshow,
