Nalanda University is a postgraduate, research-intensive, international university with the Ministry of External Affairs-GoI and supported by seventeen (17) participating countries of the East Asia Summit. 

The University was established by a special Act of the Indian Parliament and has been designated as an “Institution of National Importance”. Located in the historical town - Rajgir, in the State of Bihar, is mandated to be an “international institution for the pursuit of intellectual, philosophical, historical and spiritual studies” (Nalanda University Act, 2010).

The admissions for the academic year 2023 are open; currently, the University offers post-graduate and short programs.

3.     MA Buddhist Studies, Philosophy, and Comparative Religions

4.     MA Hindu Studies 

5.     MA Historical Studies

6.     MA World Literature in English
