The Government of India introduced the E-Migrate system (www.emigrate.gov.in) in February 2015, to facilitate transparent, safe, and secure recruitment of Indian nationals, including female domestic workers (housemaids) for employment abroad. 

It is a platform used by employers to hire workers from India. It may be used by both firms and individuals. Companies may recruit workers either directly or through an Indian recruiting agency. Direct recruitment is limited to 10 persons per year per employer, while companies may recruit any number of people through Indian recruiting agencies.
